A woman was severely injured and 18 children were taken to the hospital in a Sept. 17 accident on Vashon Island that may have occurred when one of the drivers involved experienced a medical emergency. The accident occurred shortly before 11:30 a.m. in the 24700 block of Vashon Highway SW.
Seattle police said a 30-year-old motorcyclist was run over by a car and trapped underneath a vehicle Sept. 8 around 1 p.m. at the intersection of East Pike Street and MLK Jr. Way South. Seattle fire officials indicated that the biker had to be extricated from beneath the vehicle before being transported to Harborview Medical Center for treatment of serious injuries. No other injuries were reported.
A Washington man driving a Subaru Legacy is reported to have stuck and killed a 23-year-old woman and critically injured a 25-year-old man who were walking along Tracyton Boulevard near Bremerton around 2:20 a.m. on Sept. 10. The woman was found dead at the scene by emergency responders while the man was stabilized at the scene and then airlifted to Seattle's Harborview Medical Center.
On Aug. 24, a fatal accident involving a 68-year-old man and a teenager occurred in Redmond. According to authorities, the incident occurred at approximately 10 p.m. near the intersection of 244th Avenue Northeast and Redmond-Fall City Road.
